DROP EVERYTHING AND READ: A Shameless Plug

Well, that's that! I admit it. I've become obsessed with our 2010 DROP EVERYTHING AND READ event in celebration of BC School Libraries Day, literacy, and the joy of reading.

Our official blog is set to go at http://bctladear.blogspot.com

We're Tweeting away at http://twitter.com/BCTLA_DEAR

And our official Facebook page is 'DROP Everything and READ'.

Oh, you can grab as many FREE downloadable posters (three versions!), courtesy of Al Smith at Kelowna Secondary School Library, on the official BCTLA website.

So, PLEASE on Monday, October 25th, the British Columbia Teacher-Librarians' Association hope that you and your school will join us and Drop Everything and Read!

  1. Hi Jeff,

I love how you challenge yourself to react to other blogs, think deeply about your profession and wonder out loud. I look forward to your blog. I like your Twitter feed on the side and your "On My Nightstand". I am reading The House at Riverton and just finished The Forgotten Garden (for book club). I have Room, Freedom and a few others (about 30) stacked and ready to go.

Try to get that hook - image, story, metaphor - that pulls the reader in and ties it all together.
